What's new 'round here

Makeup update: So many products, so little time to blog! I've been putting up quick tidbits of my favorite new products on my Instagram account (@waytoomuchmakeup), so if you're following there, you have seen a lot of them. I'll try to catch up on these product posts this week, but this has been an incredibly busy month!

The water main at our house broke underneath the house somewhere, so we spent seven days without water (except what we had in storage downstairs), while we waited to get it fixed. This has put us far behind on our regular responsibilities, in addition to the new ones.

I took Joshua out of school a few weeks ago, due to him missing so much school and the constant SAGE testing they will be doing for the rest of the year anyway. I never intended to be a home school mom, so I'm not exactly prepared for that role. Any tips on that front are definitely appreciated! Thank goodness I am not working outside the home at the moment.

Keeping up with the responsibilities of being the mother AND the daughter in the house (I live with my mom, for those who don't know that) takes all my energy. That's another conversation, probably best for a therapist, as opposed to a blog post.

I also have the privilege to have this ADORABLE little boy in my home five days/week. Not only is he a joy to have around, but I am able to get a little bit of income out the deal as well. My heart will break when I have to go back to work and can't spend my days with him (and my boys).

Every couple of weeks I get to spend a few days with my out-of-state boyfriend (that word still feels weird to use; I wonder if I'll ever get used to it). He takes amazing care of us and spoils me rotten. Next week I will be going to visit him in Arizona. This will be the first time I will be seeing his home. I'm excited to be going on a plane for the first time in years, and to get to know his life a little better. I can't tell you how lucky I am to have this man in my life.

As my kids grow, I am having a harder time letting go of them when it's their dad's turn to have them. I am more aware of how little time I have left with them every day. They just keep growing and growing, becoming more intelligent and independent every day. I'm so proud of them and worry about them so much.

It doesn't seem like much is new, but there's your update! Next I will show you the other new love of my life... my new mascara! ;)
