60-Day Getting to Know Me Photo Challenge

I was going to do this on Instagram, but it turns out I'm far too long-winded for that! So here's Day 1 of my 60-Day Getting to Know Me Photo Challenge:

15 Things About Me:

1. If I had a jar labeled "self esteem" where I put good thoughts of myself, it would be empty. (But you already knew that cause you see how many selfies I post!)

2. I love to read but don't have the attention span for it. I ache for the stories, but whenever I sit down to read, my mind wanders, and I have to go do something.

3. I don't own an iPod or iPhone. I'm pretty sure I'm the last person on Earth to say this.

4. I'm aware #3 is an extreme exaggeration. Many people don't even have running water. Try hard not to judge me.

5. I have a chicken pox scar on my right leg.

6. I can't sleep if my socks are on, and ever since my first pregnancy, I have to fall asleep laying on my left side. I absolutely can't sleep in any other position.

7. As of late I am obsessed with Canadian and British TV shows. After having seen Bomb Girls (which , btw, ended FAR too abruptly), I watched Land Girls and loved it, then Bleak House and so on. I love that they are storytellers, not based around shock factor, as American TV almost always is.

8. I still sleep with my baby blanket and always will. (Go ahead and judge me all you want; it's not my fault my mom bought me a better blanket than yours did.) Even grown-ups need soothing.

9. I haven't slept without a sleep aid in six years. My mind simply will not turn off at night. And yet, it's perfectly happy to take naps during the day if I let it. Go figure.

10. Can you tell I'm in bed as I write this? I can't seem to think of much else besides sleep... 15 is a lot of things to say about yourself!

11. (With a couple of extreme exceptions) Once you are my friend, you are a friend for life. I do not understand how some people can lose touch with their friends. So what if you met them in Kindergarten?  A kindred spirit is a kindred spirit. Even If you haven't heard from me in years, I still hold you dear to my heart and would drop everything to help if you called.

12. I have absolutely no idea what my purpose on this earth will be once my children no longer need me. I'm scared I will be THAT lady who doesn't know what to do with herself if she isn't a mother.

13. I have never broken a bone (of my own).

14.  is close enough to 15, right?

15. I absolutely cannot come up with 15 things you don't already know about me.

(Next up: The Person I Have Been Close with the Longest)

Anyone who would like to participate in the 60-day challenge, send me a fb message or leave me a comment and I'll email you a copy of the list! :) Let's have fun getting to know each other!

  1. What about your nose? Does that not count as a bone? I distinctly remember being with you on at least one broken nose occasion!

    1. Haha Whit that's a fantastic point! But no, I don't believe cartilage counts as bone, does it? Who knows. I did have terrible luck with that part of my face lol!

  2. This comment has been removed by the author.

    1. Awe thanks Manda. :) You are one of those lifeloNg friends. :)

  3. This post makes me miss you, sweet friend! I can attest to the truth of number eleven and I so love, admire, and appreciate that about you!

(Also, I left this comment before but deleted it by accident. Evidence that I'm not so great with social media which is part of what's made it hard to keep in touch over the years. Boo to me for that. You'd think I'm like eighty or something with how bad I am with this stuff! The end)

Comments make me ultra happy! Tell me who you are, what you think, why you're here...
