Even if you have to fake it

Who could be mad at this face for long?

  1. I am thankful for my monstrous Max, who was sent here to teach me patience and martial arts-level defensive maneuvers.
  2. I am grateful for the understanding I have for people who aren't thin. Yep, I'm choosing to be thankful for this extra layer of fat I'm carrying around. (Because what else am I going to do with it?)
  3. I am thankful for my minimum-wage, stand-around-and-bore-yourself-to-death job. At least I have that, even if it is just two days/week at $7.70/hour. No hours/week at no dollars an hour would be worse, right?!
  4. I am thankful for the psychos who choose to run the Cub Scout program. They are weirdos for sure, but my son has broken out of his shell for them. I can't tell you how grateful I am for the smile on his face once/week when he goes to scouts and the pride he takes in it.
  5. I am trying really, really hard to be grateful for the devil spawn that has taken over my children this month. Is Christmas over yet??

  1. I love that you're looking for the little things to be thankful for.
Sometimes it is the little things that make a big difference. xo

  2. I am thankful for your blog. And your children are pretty adorable.

  3. I love this idea, too. I need to remind myself to be thankful for what I have rather than lament over what I don't have. Thanks for that!

My son enjoyed Cub Scouts, too. Unfortunately, they couldn't get a new den master for the boys, so ours disbanded this year. But I agree, it helped my son become more social, and he also took great pride in being a scout.

  4. it is the little things that add up to overall thankfulness.
