New Home

We've slept in our new home for two nights now.
We finally have beds, so that definitely helps... that first night with everyone's mattresses lined up on the floor in the living room was... well, interesting.

Whoever said you can't fit 5 people into 800 sq. ft. of space didn't know what they were talking about.
Ok, maybe they kinda did.

The bathroom is just big enough that we can turn around in it (one person maximum limit).
Seriously, though, don't drop something. Bending over is a serious impossibility.

The living room is big enough...
as long as I sell one of my couches and don't mind Husband's gaming habits taking over most of the living space.

The bedroom is totally big enough for my bed.
Only the bed. Which is fine, cause we don't even own a dresser anyway.

The kitchen is huge...
The only real problem is that it's also the laundry room, the dining room, entry way, and mud room as well.

The kids' bedroom is big enough for their bunk beds and the baby's crib, with room to spare.
Because we gave them the master bedroom.

And storage?
Well, let's just say we didn't need those old yearbooks anyway.

But you know the best part?
It's ours.
And it's been a long time since we've had that.

Sure, rent will come along, and utilities...
And the toilet paper I stole from my mom's house will run out, so I'll need to buy my own...
But I think it's about time to live like grown-ups, don't you?

It feels really, really good to be 'head of household' again.

  2. Congrats! At one point growing up, there were four of us in one bedroom. It was the core of our growing closeness as we got older, aside from the fighting. :) Best of luck!
