Meet My Best Friends

Andrea, me, Jenn at Andrea's bachelorette party back in June :)

Here's why you're gonna want to know these girls:
  1. They are extremely talented, and someday you'll be seeing all three of our names on the shelves at Barnes & Noble. Saying, "I know those girls!" would be pretty awesome, eh?
  2. They are so much fun. I can't even tell you how fantastic they are, and I can't remember a time when they didn't make me laugh till my cheeks hurt.
  3. They have amazing book blogs you'll definitely want to follow.

So...Meet Jenn!

Jennifer and I met in 7th grade Utah Studies class. She was adorable and new, just moved down from Idaho, and we instantly discovered that our humor would blend nicely together. It's been thirteen years since then, and we've never had a time when I didn't consider her one of my very best friends. I go to her for advice on basically everything, and she always has fabulous input that brings me back down to reality.

Jenn reads about 700 books a week (this may be a slight exaggeration), and she writes a fabulous book review blog. If I had half the talent or motivation she has to read, I'm pretty sure I would be a genius. She'll be brutally honest with you about anything and everything, but she has this incredible way of lacing in some tact with that honesty - a talent I don't possess.

Go follow Jenn's blogs, Reading is Sexy & Eat Sleep Write - she's already writing her first publishable novel, so you're gonna want to get in on the groundwork on this one! ;)

Meet Andrea!

Andrea & I

Andrea and I met in 5th grade. I had just moved to a new town and a new school where I was completely terrified. Let me tell you a story: When Aubrey gets terrified, do you know what she does? She puts up a giant shield to protect herself. Thus, everyone in her new fifth-grade class thought she was a complete bitch. Except three girls, who were brave enough to be her friends: Andrea, Alyson, & Amanda. These girls saved my life that year, I'm not even kidding. To this day I still consider Andrea a lifesaver, and she's had my back ever since. She recently got married, which is where all these pictures were taken. (How embarrassing is it that we've been friends for 15 years and the only pictures we have together were all taken one night last year?)
Andrea writes a book blog and is writing a novel as well, which I am absolutely convinced will be published, so go follow her too! Bookworm Tells All

My beautiful Andrea... makin' a fish face! ;)

Remember how we talked about Alyson & Amanda from fifth grade? Meet Amanda. She disappeared from my life for a long time in high school, but we recently found each other again, and - although I don't get to see her because she lives in Arizona - she is still one of my very, very, very favorite people on this planet. And she started a fashion blog! It's brand new, but absolutely fabulous already, so you'll definitely want to check that out here: Once Upon a Wardrobe

Me & Miss Jamie <3

Jamie doesn't have a blog, but I love her just the same! We just met last year, and boy am I glad we did. She makes me laugh constantly, and she always understands how I feel. We battle our depression together, and I gotta tell ya, I am so grateful to have her in my life.  Love you, Jamie!

I was 6 months pregnant here, and my girls took me out for my birthday to cheer me up!

My girls are my life savers - I am so lucky to have you guys! So now you all know who I'm talking about when I say I "went out with my girls," and they can be your girls too!

...and of course my sisters!

and Husband's sister, Danielle :)

  1. Aubrey, what an awesome spot-light of your friends. Those are some amazing girls - I agree. :) ♥

p.s. I love your blogs. I read them all the time! Keep writing! :)

    p.p.s. My new Blog

  2. Um, I love this. You're the cutest, sweetest, best ever. Everytime I see stuff like this it makes me sad I don't live closer :( It just reminds me how much fun Andrea, you, and I used to have when we were little. Come visit me!!! (Or I'll come visit you. Soon, hopefully!)

Thanks for mentioning my new blog. I actually just posted today about how much harder blogging has been than I thought it would be! Haha.

    Love you!
